I am not sure what kinda terms that you are on with your ex-boyfriend (Joseph) but I heard that he is opening up for Psychic TV in LA? o.O

I am not on any kind of terms with this one… But, I do believe this is a bold-faced LIE. This boy is full of stories, and the majority of which are fabricated.

This story is particularly interesting considering: “On November 4, 2009 Genesis P-Orridge announced via his website, “Genesis Breyer P-Orridge is retiring from touring in any and all bands including TG to concentrate on art, writing and music.”

LOLz.

In response to the United States Department of Justice shutting down the popular MEGAUPLOAD website, hacktivist group Anonymous has shut down the Department of Justice website.

I think Anonymous won the hearts of millions today.

This was my final project for 3d Design: I built a city out of paper and magazine clippings, had running people on the board it was mounted to and had Godzilla popping out of a wire cage I fashioned together inside of a Chinese food box.

This year I have decided to put more focus on the little things that make me happy.

Like…

1. Getting up early enough to take a shower (not just enough time to fix my hair and makeup)…even though I have classes at 8:30 am.

2. Making coffee to take with me to work and school <3 This saves money and time in the long run.

3. Making a lunch or at least some sort of delicious healthy snack for school.

4. Reading. Something other than text books… Please.

5. Discovering new artists, musicians and directors I can fall in love with.

6. Taking more pictures, of everything and anything.

7. Writing… preferably a little every day or, at the very least, once a week.

8. Creating something… or at least keeping together a log of ideas to keep in mind for creating something later.

9. Getting in better shape by eating healthier and actually working out on occasion. Hopefully I will turn this into a habit… I kind of already have since the start of the new year.

10. And last, but certainly not least, saving money… no matter how small the amount… 10% of everything I make may sound silly on a day where I have only made $30, but every little bit adds up, and I plan to move across country this upcoming summer.

I am hoping all these little things will add up to something… I believe they will. This is all to reduce the stress and little annoyances of life and keep me a little more positive.

In a simple experiment, researchers at the University of Chicago sought to find out whether a rat would release a fellow rat from an unpleasantly restrictive cage if it could. The answer was yes.

The free rat, occasionally hearing distress calls from its compatriot, learned to open the cage and did so with greater efficiency over time. It would release the other animal even if there wasn’t the payoff of a reunion with it. Astonishingly, if given access to a small hoard of chocolate chips, the free rat would usually save at least one treat for the captive — which is a lot to expect of a rat.

The researchers came to the unavoidable conclusion that what they were seeing was empathy — and apparently selfless behavior driven by that mental state.

“A New Model of Empathy: The Rat” by David Brown, Washington Post

Rats are far more intelligent creatures than people give them credit for.

I like rats more than I like people mostly.

Reason #468 to like rats. They are better than most people.

I’m really starting to fall in love with rats

I blame Starbuck and Boomer

rats are much better than humans

Oxytocin: the “love hormone”. The inability to secrete oxytocin and feel empathy is linked to sociopathy, psychopathy, narcissism and general manipulativeness.
